AI tools for musicians in 2026: a list by task
Most lists of AI tools for musicians stop at making music. This one follows the whole job — from the stems to the release, the content and the business — so you can pick a tool for the task in front of you.

The descriptions of other companies’ tools below come from their own websites as of October 12, 2026. Features and prices change, so check each site before you decide. TONTRIA is our product; we say so where it appears.
Making music
- AIVA — describes itself as an AI music generation assistant that generates songs in more than 250 styles (aiva.ai).
- Suno and Udio — generate full songs from text prompts. Both were sued by major labels in 2024; some of those cases have since settled with licensing deals. Read their terms on commercial use before releasing anything you make with them. See AI in the music industry.
Stems and mastering
- LANDR — offers AI mastering, stem separation and audio enhancement among its tools (landr.com).
- Moises and LALAL.AI — stem separation: pulling vocals, drums or bass out of a mix, useful for remixes, practice and karaoke versions.
Video, clips and lyric videos
- TONTRIA Clips (ours) — turns live shows, music videos and interviews into vertical clips that follow the singer, with karaoke captions; makes lyric videos and Spotify Canvas loops from a song link; and lets you download transcripts as SRT or TXT. Free plan with 30 credits.
- General video editors with AI — tools built for people talking to a camera can also cut music content; check how they handle singing and lyrics before you commit.
Release planning and promotion
- Release checklists and plans — the boring part that decides whether a release works: credits, codes, splits, pitch dates and content per day. Start with our release planning checklist.
- TONTRIA for Artists (ours) — smart link, press kit, AI press releases and a marketing assistant for independent artists.
- Chat assistants — useful for first drafts of bios and pitches; always rewrite them in your own voice.
Labels, managers and publishers
- TONTRIA for Labels, for Management and for Publishing (ours) — releases, royalties, contracts, shows and registrations, with an assistant that knows your roster and asks before it acts. See TONTRIA for Labels.
- Distribution platforms — many distributors now add analytics and royalty tools. If you already have one, ask what reports it can export: your statements depend on them.
- Split sheets — the simplest tool of all, and the one that saves the most money. Use our free split sheet template.
How to choose
- Start from the task, not the tool. What takes the most hours each week?
- Check that it understands music. Singing, lyrics, stems and splits are not generic “content”.
- Read the terms. Commercial use, ownership of the output and what happens to your data.
- Keep a human OK on anything that goes out or involves money.
- Try it on one release before you change how the whole team works.
